SCRAMBLE MILTARY SERIALS AMERICA 2007

All American countries are included. For every country all types are listed that have at least one aircraft of that type active as of 1 January 2007. All serials of that type are shown, including stored, written off, preserved, etc. examples. Some exceptions are made (e.g., for the USAF B-52 only the B-52H is shown). Where exceptions are made, this is mentioned in the book. For every country we have included as much information as possible. Because of the standardization we sometimes use type, unit and serial presentations that may strongly differ from those used by the manufacturer or user. It is therefore possible that the information sent by you can deviate from the information we publish.
 

The overviews are sorted by (basic) type. All overviews show the following data, reading from left to right:

• Serial: the (allocated) serial of the aircraft.
• Code: the tactical code worn by the aircraft.
• Type: the exact type of the aircraft, for example KC-135R.
• c/n: the manufacturer serial number of the aircraft.
• Unit: the unit of the aircraft. With preserved/stored aircraft the location is given.
• Last noted: by Scramble database.
• Status: all status other than active are shown:
  - std: stored
  - pres: preserved
  - wfu: withdrawn from use
  - i/a: instructional airframe
  - scr: scrapped
  - o/o: on order
  - ntu: not taken up
  - civ: transferred to civil market
  - mil: transferred to other military user
   
• Remark: additional remarks, for example "anniversary markings"
