In the current economic climate wholesale prices (the price we are charged) are increasing all the time. We have no alternative but to pass on these price increases to our customers.This is due to the drop in value of the UK pound to Japanese Yen, Euro & US Dollar.

We accept payment by personal cheque, Postal Orders and credit cards. We accept all major credit cards i.e. ACCESS/MASTERCARD/EUROCARD/VISA/BARCLAYCARD/DINERS CLUB/AMERICAN EXPRESS/SWITCH and JCB.

Payment should be made by CREDIT CARD, STERLING BANK DRAFT or INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER in favour of THE AVIATION HOBBY SHOP. If you use a personal cheque please add the equivalent of £5.00 to cover bank charges. WE NO LONGER ACCEPT EURO CHEQUES.

PLEASE NOTE Due to an increase in the number of dishonoured cheques, we reserve the right to charge an additional £5.00, or the actual bank charges whichever is the greater, to any drawer of a dishonoured cheque.

WITHIN THE UNITED KINGDOM, CHANNEL ISLANDS AND BFPOs:- all book and colour print, plastic kit and decal orders will be sent POST FREE by second class letter, or parcel post or contract where appropriate.

OVERSEAS:- Overseas customers will be charged postage at cost Please state if you require surface or AIR MAIL. Should you require a quote please call the shop or send a fax stipulating this along with your order (our PHONE 01895 442123 FAX 01895 421412).

VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT):- The UK VAT tax is applied to everything except books and magazines at the current rate of 17.5%. However, if you live overseas we can offer a reduction of 15% on the retail price of items attracting VAT subject to the condition: that the goods are ordered for postal delivery to an overseas address, in which case 15% may be deducted from the total order value (EXCEPT BOOKS & MAGAZINES) before postal charges are added. Most European countries (except Norway) are now members of the EEC, under current law we must apply VAT on appropriate items on all orders despatched to the EEC countries (EXCEPT BOOKS & MAGAZINES).

24 HOUR ANSWERING SERVICE:- Out of normal business hours our answering machine is at your service. This will allow you to call us and place an order (or enquiry) at you leisure, and at cheap rates, or at a more convenient local time for our overseas customers. To place an order please make sure you speak clearly and give your name, address, credit card number and expiry date, as well as details of your order.

Orders left on the answering machine are dealt with as soon as reasonably possible.

DELIVERY:- Orders are usually despatched as soon as possible after receipt. However, please accept that items do go out of stock, and have to be re-ordered.

Orders from overseas or cottage industries/publishers sometimes take longer to deliver, it is not always possible to pick up a phone and place an order for delivery next day. Where a protracted delay is expected we will usually try to inform you or return your order, with a suggestion to re-order at a later date. Postal delays and losses are still being experienced from time to time, which are of course beyond our control. To

allow for this and for short-term out of stock situations PLEASE ALLOW 28 DAYS before enquiring about any order. Overseas orders are sent by the cheapest means possible (unless otherwise requested and paid for). This of course means that delivery will take longer than by more expensive means. For the guidance of our overseas clients please be aware that surface mail times to the following countries are approximately: North America/Canada - Four/Six weeks; South Africa - Eight weeks; Australasia - Nine/Twelve weeks; Most of Europe at least - Two weeks. Please allow these times to elapse over and above the usual 28 days before querying an order.

We now have the ability to dispatch items from our shop using the services of Federal Express. It is not the cheapest method of delivery but it is certainly extremely quick and efficient. Call for more details.

ADVANCE ITEMS:- Please note it is not our normal policy to advertise goods which are not actually in stock unless we have a definite delivery date from the publisher/ manufacturer. All items contained in this catalogue are either in stock, or have been in recent stock and are the subject of a re-order unless a definite delivery date is quoted. We do not believe in advertising goods which may not appear. We prefer to make you the customer, fully aware of what is available by updating this catalogue and by advertising in the popular aviation press.
